Raquel Carvalho

Professor of Administrative law at the Faculdade de Direito della Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Escola do Porto

Raquel CarvalhoGraduated from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) Law School, obtained her Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Coimbra and her PhD Degree in Law and Political Sciences from UCP. She is a Law professor at UCP – Porto since 2010, a researcher and integrated member of CEID – Catolica Research Centre for the Future of Law since 2014, and an integrated member of the ANESC Portuguese Section since its beginning. At UCP, she teaches Administrative Law at undergraduate, Master’s and PhD levels. Her main area of scientific interest and publication is Administrative Law, in particular Public Procurement Law, Administrative Contracts, Urban Law and Environmental Law.
She has also supervised several master’s dissertations in public procurement and administrative contracts and she has participated in many conferences both Portuguese and international, concerning public procurement.

 

“After obtaining my PhD degree in 2009, my research interests, my teaching and my dissertation supervision have been mainly focused on public procurement and administrative contracts. Particularly, on the issues concerning e-procurement, in-house providing, sustainable policies in public procurement and modifications rules. Recently, I have been studying the 2014 Directives and how the Government intends to transpose them into Portuguese Law”.
